I’ll Take Mine Black

Posted on Jul 5, 2007 by CHESSNOID in uncategorized | 0 Comments

I just brewed some coffee from one of those Internet mail order companies. I actually love the smell of coffee. This particular flavor is Chocolate Raspberry, an extremely tasty delight. You get that nice chocolate taste with just a slight touch of raspberry. Yummy.

Coffee is my elixir. It is always best when I share a cup with my wife. Good thing she enjoys it as much as I do. Now, coffee doesn’t keep me awake like it does most people. It has the opposite effect on me. It gives me this feeling that just puts me in a state of relaxation. I know it is a stimulant, but for some inexplicable reason, it totally relaxes me. It puts me in a great state of satisfaction. I don’t actually drink any type of alcohol. I know wine helps some people relax. That’s the way it is for me when it comes to coffee.

When I went to Seattle back in April, it was like heaven. My wife and I drank coffee everyday and checked out some nice cafes. We even checked out the first original Starbucks with, you know, the topless mermaid. In front of the cafe, there were these 4 guys singing some songs. They sounded great and were very lively. Definitely a crowd pleaser. I even wound up buying a DVD from them. I know they definitely sold me and I felt good supporting their cause. When I got home and watched that DVD it was cool. Unfortunately, the camera work was like that really bad movie, “The Blair Witch Project”, where it would basically give you motion sickness. So I have only watched it once. I think the name of the album or group was “I’ll take mine black”.

I am definitely addicted to coffee. When it comes to fast food coffees, I like BK’s coffee the best, McD’s the second. One time I tried to cut back on my coffee drinking. That was when I used to drink 2 to 3 Starbuck venti Mocha Valencias with a shot of espresso a day. 5 bucks a shot. And worth every drip! Ha ha. I kid you not. Only you coffee lovers will be able to relate. Anyway, when I stopped my caffeine intake, it was OUCH!!! Oh boy!! Migraine caffeine headaches. Ever have it? Then you know what I mean. Once I got passed that phase, I started to drink decaf. Really, I just like the taste of coffee. Most times I can’t taste the difference. The decaf thing didn’t last for very long. I am back to drinking regular coffee. 2 cups a day. Once in the morning and once at night. There are exceptions, when I watch movies or tv shows and I see someone drinking coffee, I am done. It’s off to the kitchen to brew a nice hot cup of excellent elixir. Cheers!
