I am very happy and pleased with the way this blog is turning out so far. To actually see it up and running with material I wrote just gives me a personal feeling of satisfaction. My wife is the best. She is a pro when it comes to these things compared to me. She has emailed me articles on how to make a successful blog. I have checked a few out.
One in particular was very good. It was by John Chow. I downloaded one of his e-books and perused it. The book was extremely useful but a little beyond me. It focused on how to have a successful blog and make money in the process. He states basically if the reason you are doing the blog is to make money, then you probably won’t make money. I am lucky there because I don’t have any high expectations of doing that on my blog.
My main motivation for this blog is just to give to the reader, hopefully, some useful information or just some insights of my own personal life lessons. I kind of want this to be a sort of Seinfeld-ish blog of my own personal musings. A blog with no specific plot – just random observations. One of the reasons why I love that show is because it was more of a glimpse into the lives of four characters and how they get by through the day in ridiculous situations. On top of that, all the characters just have a quirky sense of humor. Whenever, I am channel surfing and I run into a re-run, I stop and watch, ready to laugh, because I know what is about to happen. My wife did buy me the first few seasons of the show. However, it is not quite the same as just watching it on TV spontaneously.
