I just put up 14 eBay auctions. They are all comic book related. It is time that I start liquidating my vast inventory. The thing I love about eBay is watching the items to see if they sell. By that I mean, there is a seller’s page to see how many people have looked at your items and how many people are watching them. I always make my auctions 7 days and generally have them end on Sundays. I am guessing that is when most people can bid on comic books. I am going to keep track and see how much it costs to sell them and how much I actually sell them for. This blog will force me to keep count. Usually in the past I would just estimate. A few years back when I was constantly buying and selling, I was literally at the post office everyday.
Value Mags – Free shpping, no tax, and best price guaranteeMany things have changed in the last few years. First of all, the prices to list have gone up as well as all the other fees involved. Usually, when you sell something you get nickel and dimed for listing fee, gallery fees, final value sale fees from eBay. Then when you get paid by PayPal you get hit with the PayPal acceptance fee which allows buyers to pay you with their credit card online. And of course when you ship it out via PayPal they charge you with extra postage fees. The cost of doing business. One day I might be good enough to be an eBay power seller.
The thing I like about eBaying now is you can print the postage online and just put them in the USPS drop off boxes without waiting physically in line anymore. That use to take me anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes just depending on the time and day I went in. Now, my time has been cut down to 30 seconds which is the walk from my car to the drop off box and back.
Now, when I was listing to put up a pricing strategy, I started to get those euphoric happy feelings of wanting to buy stuff I didn’t need. I thought to myself, that is a good deal, maybe I should bid. Don’t worry, my willpower won this time.
Check out my listings here if you are an x-men or spider man fan.
