Snoopy time

Snoopy has to be the coolest cartoon character ever. I am sure of it. He is definitely my personal favorite. Growing up I remember looking forward to watching his cartoon specials. He didn’t have many. It’s not like he had a cartoon series. I really remember 4 main cartoons on TV. First in April for the “It’s the Easter beagle, Charlie Brown.” . Then a long stretch until the Halloween special “It’s the Great pumpkin Charlie Brown.” November would obviously be the “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving”. Then come December would be my favorite Snoopy one “A Christmas Charlie Brown.” This special is where he is more playful and funny. Lots of character.

At one point, I had bought the 3 DVD set off of Amazon. I watched them but they didn’t seem the same when I watched them out of season. Also this past Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, I think ABC shows them now with added stuff that takes them from half hour shows to full 1 hour shows. I dig that. I even have the “Linus and Lucy” song set as my ring tone because it reminds me of snoopy.

The first time I saw a beagle, I had a disconnect. I couldn’t imagine that snoopy looked like a beagle. I thought snoopy was some type of other dog. More like that “Frasier” dog Jack Russel Terrier. Very high energy and mischievous. I think they need to make a Snoopy cartoon special for every month. Don’t you agree?
