I have watched that “Secret” DVD and I am a regular listener to Anthony Robbins CDs “Personal Power” and “Get the Edge”. To me both are motivational tools in my life that I use on a regular basis to help me keep focused. One of the main exercises that you have to do is be grateful. The acknowledgment in itself allows you to realize how blessed and lucky we already are. It is always easy to focus on all the wrong things in our wonderful lives. I know money is always a worry for everyone. I work in the collections business, so I get to hear everyones problems on a regular basis. The living from paycheck to paycheck scenario, hospital emergency, death in the family, loss of job, the war, the skyrocketing gas prices, etc…. I am sure you get the point.
The part most of these people including myself forget to do is just be thankful for all the good things we have in our life. Like having your loved ones around and being in good health. Just being able to walk around and enjoy the beautiful scenery around us should be enough. Everyday for the past week, a hummingbird flies in our little patio garden and makes both my wife and me smile. You want to focus on all the good things that make you feel good and not on all the things that make you miserable. It is very difficult to enjoy life when you are focused on everything that is wrong in it. It is delightful to jump out of bed every morning and live a happy life if you focus on everything that is good in it. I know the concept is definitely easy to understand and sounds like common sense, but the trick is in the execution of it in our thoughts and especially in our actions which basically shape our attitudes on a daily basis.
I wanted to share that with you because it is important and to remind myself to do the same. We all deserve to be happy and that doesn’t cost a penny. Live life with Passion!! Because life is Excellent!!
