I am always looking for a computer or laptop. I have a compulsion of getting good deals on these particular items. The last laptop I purchased was a 17inch Gateway fully loaded with Vista premium. It had a 90 Gig HD, 1 gig ram, and a DVD burner, built in wireless, and some basic software programs I don’t really like. I bought that 3 months ago for about $750 including taxes out the door no rebates. That is an excellent deal. The screen is beautiful. I do watch movies on it. I also connect it to my HD tv and it is awesome.

The crazy thing is I think I want another computer. I was looking at last Sunday’s ads and they have 15 inch laptops for crazy prices. At BestBuy a compaq laptop $449 after rebate before taxes. They are sold out online. At circuit city they have an acer laptop 14 inch $369 and toshiba 15 inch laptop $399 both after rebate before taxes. Microcenter $399 Acer 14inch laptop no rebate but before taxes.office depot $379 Compaq 15 inch no rebate before taxes. These prices are amazingly low. Obviously, I don’t need another laptop but those deals make me want to buy one. It’s kind of the same madness people have buying Apple Iphones for $600. They really just want it just because it is nice to have. We all have our weaknesses. Computers are mine.

Seriously, though, I do need a new desktop. I saw them at Compusa for $149 for a Compaq with vista but no delivery option. Since they have closed most of the California locations down, that wasn’t an option. I feel like I am being teased. Anyways, let me know if you see a good deal on a brand new computer. Something like $100 for a fully loaded system. Of course not including the monitor. Sheesh. I will use my old one.
