Target commercial “Hello, Goodbye” by Sophia Shorai

I just heard this TV commercial and just like you I went on the web to find out more about it. It is a Beatles song covered by Sophia Shorai. Check out her myspace page. Target has an amazing advertiser. It seems like they put out the best commercials. From a marketing standpoint, they create out-of-the-park-grand-slam-home-run successful ads. They appeal to every age group, race group, and most income levels. The catchy tune stays with you and makes you feel euphoric. For those of us who are familiar with the original Beatles song, it gets us feeling nostalgic. And of course, the images and colors are vivid and focuses on their branding. You see red and white throughout which matches their logo. And finally, you see multiple products that you probably want, need, or use. Everyone who appears in the commercial is happy enjoying whatever product they are using. This commercial is so good and effective, you have to wonder why most advertisers don’t put out better commercials. With all the movies I watch, you would think I would do a review about one instead of a commercial. But think about it, commercials are everywhere you look: TV, radio, magazines, newspapers, the internet, and your emails. Even though you are not a salesperson, the place you probably work at is selling some product and service that people need.
