Grave of the Fireflies is an animation that is a must see movie that I highly recommend like the “Shawshank Redemption” with Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman. It is a Japanese Anime that captures a certain style. The storyline was excellent and just makes you reflect on humanity. I don’t know if it is based on a true story but it seems like it could be. I am surprised I hadn’t seen this before today. It was a very touching movie and I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes a good story. I want to write more about it, but don’t want to spoil for anyone. I posted the trailer here but watching the trailer just doesn’t capture the mood of the movie. It is just one of those films you have to watch from beginning to end to appreciate it. And trust me on this one, you will appreciate it. Just put it in your Netflix or Blockbuster queue now, and you can thank me later by buying me a bucket of popcorn.
