MMA, $100 laptops, and the Homeless Guy

Posted on Aug 26, 2007 by CHESSNOID in Uncategorized | 2 Comments

Randy “the Natural” Couture defeated Gabriel Gonzaga by TKO at 1:37 of RD 3. I am surprised at 44 he owned the young Brazilian fighter that knocked out Crocop. He didn’t just submit him. He beat him into a tko.submission That is simply amazing. Also, Georges St. Pierre defeated Josh Koscheck by Unanimous Decision. The video below is the Natural in action.

I didn’t notice the price of laptops or desktops going any lower. However I did miss a 2 day sale at office depot that had a brand new compaq laptop for $299 no rebate that expired yesterday. That is an excellent price. There is a movement to help 3rd world countries get $100 laptops to all kids. This is a great idea that I think and is soon becoming a reality.

Just an update on the homeless guy’s blog. If you don’t subscribe to it, he put up a video. Sometimes when you read someone else’s post, you put that imaginary voice in your mind of how he or she would sound like. I know whenever I tell my wife that so and so said this, she always asks me were they mad when they said that. I always say no and then realize I am depicting them in the wrong way. For some reason, whenever I repeat someone else’s words, I act it out with the wrong tone of voice. If the video doesn’t work below for you, check out his site above by clicking on his link.

This video helps put a voice to this person. He seems to be a nice enough guy to me. He gives a lot of insight to his world. I am looking forward to seeing more videos from him and reading his posts. I know some people have doubts about him, but he does come across as sincere in his endeavors. I wish him the best.

I was very impressed by both Couture and St.Pierre. Randy just seems to be getting better and better. Well, maybe just smarter. I think that is a better way to describe it. I do have one gripe. I spend a lot of money each year on the MMA ppv’s and it is very upsetting to me that there are fights on the card that they don’t show. Many of these fighters are people who i do know and would like to watch. I saw that Frank Mir and Guida had fights that they didn’t show. These fights i would’ve like to see. I feel like if i pay 40, then i should be able to see all the fights. What do you think?

    Hey Goldenboy,

I agree with your comment. I think that is both fighters are nice guys and good to see them both win. Those ppv’s are pricey and maybe if they cut did a better job editing, they might be able to fit all the fights in. My guess is that they have all those fights as extras in case there is a bunch of 1st round knockouts, then they can use those as time fillers at the end of the show if needed. Thanks for the great post.
