I was wrong on both fights that aired last night on the UFC. I am surprised both fights went to a decision. Henderson did look good, but he just gassed out against Rampage the bigger and stronger fighter. Crocop didn’t look like his old fighting self. He seemed more tentative since he got knocked out by Gonzaga. Kongo looked huge. That is the first time I have seen him and he towered over Crocop and made him look small. Anyways both Rampage and Kongo won by decision. I wouldn’t be suprised to see a rematch against those 2 fighters. I must say that UFC is happy that the old Pride FC fighters are getting beat. That is a good selling point that they may have always had higher caliber fighters. Technically, Rampage is a Pride FC fighter who beat Liddell, the former UFC title belt holder. Crocop just doesn’t look the same. I do think Kongo will be a good contender for the UFC heavyweight belt. He seemed to have a good ground game and excellent kick and jabs. Plus he has the size at 240 pounds. Sheesh.

Next weekend there is another great mma show being put out by Showtime EliteXC. I do believe it is free to subscribers and not a PPV event. SWEEEET! They are also top athletes that will put on a good show. The 4 fights that are scheduled on 9/15/07 are:

Ninja Rua vs Robbie Lawler

Nick Diaz vs Mike Aina

Jake Shields vs Renato Verissimo

Gina Carano vs Tonya Evinger (women’s match)

The week after that on 9/22/07, Showtime is putting a championship boxing match with Vitali Klitschko vs Jameel McCline. Vitali is making a comeback after 3 years of inactivity. It should be a good fight. Of course, it isn’t a fight alot of fans are watching since it isn’t even scheduled as a PPV. SWEEET again! Klitschko always puts on a good fight in my opinion. We will see how much ring rust he has.

I checked out the Sunday weekly ads and saw a couple of good computer deals. At staples they have a computer desktop package that consists of a Compaq presario AMD Athlon™ 64 Processor 3800+ • 120GB hard drive •17″ wide-screen LCD monitor• SuperMulti DVD drive with LightScribe™ for only $349 after rebates. They also will allow for a 19″ LCD upgrade for only $50. If you don’t like rebates, Walmart has an Everex Impact GD3300 17″ LCD Desktop PC w/ Intel Celeron D processor 331 for only $378 at a rollback price. These are great deals, but I am sure if you wait for just 2 more months, the day after Thanksgiving should get you something faster for the same or cheaper price.

I am still trying to learn how to effectively use stumble as a tool for bringing in new readers. I read some articles that say you get lots of traffic but not too many that come back to revisit. I tried stumbling and saw some beautiful pictures, but it is just like having a TV remote control and channel surfing when none of your favorite shows are on. I don’t really have a lot of graphics, pictures, or videos on my site so someone stumbling would probably lose interest right away. That is the way I felt when I was stumbling. In my bookmark section at the bottom of each post, there is a stumble button in there. Please stumble any of the posts that you like and think others might enjoy. I would appreciate it. I would like to try to create a stumble network of friends that way we can share the same interests of blogs, pictures, videos, etc. If you are interested let me know by comment or email. I think that would be fun to share what we find on the web.

I was going to start loaning money on that KIVA organization after I saw Bill Clinton promoting his new book Giving on the Oprah Winfrey TV show. You can loan as little as $25 to people in 3rd world countries to help them with their business endeavors. When I visited the site, I was pleasantly surprised that all the loans they needed funded have all been funded because of Oprah’s promotion of that site. Kudos to Oprah on using her show to promote helping those who are in need. She should just do that every week! ;) I know she has a bunch of dogs. A few of them golden retrievers which are my favorite breeds. I hope she does a charity mention for HSUS or ASPCA to help animals, too.

    Hey BillyWarhol,
That is a good breakdwon of the fights. I do agree that Rampages defense is much better. I just think he is stronger than Henderson. If Henderson was to win, he would of had to do it in the early rounds.

I think GSP is back. He had an excellent fight in the last event. I really like him because he is a great fighter, humble, and usually puts on a great show. I do think he will beat Matt Serra and Matt Hughes in a rematch.

UFC has so many fighters now that they have bought out Pride. Unless they are really exciting fighters they probably won’t fight as often as they did in the past. I hear Tito will have a rematch in December with Evans.
As far as the Iceman, he is good and can probably beat most of the fighters in his weight class. I just think Rampage has his number. Who do you think would win in a Henderson/Rampage rematch and a Rampage/Liddell rematch?
