I always laugh when I see Jon Stewart. He is one of those naturally funny guys who makes all politicians look silly. Anyways, I heard he will be hosting the Academy Awards. I remember he was funny the last time he hosted. His silly gestures always puts a smile on my face. He will do a good job again.

Today, the market was up and down all day and ended on a down note. I had to get off the ride and liquidated most of my stock holdings. I will basically start the dollar cost averaging process again, but lock in the gains I have made over the last 7 years. I really wanted to hold on at least until the new year because I felt earlier the market indexes would reach new highs. Historically, in presidential election years the market goes up, but I just don’t have that confidence because of the unusual circumstances: occupation of Iraq, record foreclosures, and a president that refuses troop withdrawal. One of the best rules to follow is buy low sell high. Since I don’t know when the apex is, I can only strive to get close to it as possible within my stress level. At this point, I do feel relieved to have unloaded my holdings. Earlier, I had put a limit order on all my apple and amazon stock. Neither got executed because I put it just a tad bit too high. Following that miss, both stocks retreated 10% in one week. Now that it has come to a similar point, I just executed a market order. I am now relieved and ready to start to begin again.

These viral links have seem to become more popular this week and seem to be working for me. I have increased my technorati authority up to 39 since my last update. I believe in order to have a successful viral linking, it is important that the others linked basically do the same. Without the reciprocation, then it will not have the best desired affect. Its on Feb 24, 2008, on Sunday night. My wife and I usually print up 2 ballots and try to guess as many correct winners as possible. We watch a lot of movies together, so this makes it fun trying to pick which ones the academy picks. We usually have a starbucks coffer as a friendly wager.
