I got home early today and took a nap. It was sunny and no clouds were around. When I woke up, dark grey clouds rolled in. Looks like it’s going to be a great storm. The weatherman looks like his weather prediction will be accurate today. I hope it rains heavy.
My sleeping hours have been interrupted by my blogging addiction. I am not talking about the writing part. I am talking about the reading. I have about 100 blogs now that I read regularly. The good thing is most of them don’t post daily. That makes my queue more manageable. I use google reader to help me keep up to date. The funny thing is the more I participate in all these social networks like MyBlogLog, Blogcatalog, WeBetUr, Romlet, as well as these other applications like Stumbleupon and Digg, the more blogs and websites I find that I like to read and would like to revisit again. My bookmark is now overflowing. My emails are overflowing as well. Whenever I comment, I always check that box that allows for follow up comments to be forwarded to me. The good thing is it actually still manageable and I can get to everything. I have become more conscious of the choices I am making in regards what is added in to reading material.
My excessive blog reading has actually interrupted my movie watching. I noticed I haven’t been watching movies as often as I like. It probably has been cut in half in the last 30 days. I love to watch movies and eat popcorn. I was doing it daily until my TV broke back in July which is what lead me to start my own personal blog. Last night, I watched this dark humored movie that I tivo’d with Matt Dillon and Christina Applegate called Employee of the Month on the IFC channel. It isn’t my cup of tea, but it was actually a pretty good movie. Good acting, great character development, and a plot that delivers a Quentin Tarintino-ish type of ending. The first 20 minutes or so may seem incoherent, but stick with it. If you catch it on cable, then I do recommend you popping some popcorn and watching it.
