Good morning! My feedburner or feedstats is now working and sporting a number 18 after installing the counter to show with a php plug in on this wordpress blog. Yes, my wife did it for me and there is no shame in getting help when you need it. I wasn’t sure that was going to work and thought the error was in the url I was entering. I decided to install 2 feedburners with different urls just in case that was the mistake. The one at 18 is obviously the right one and the one still at 0 just proves my theory wrong. I will be pulling the 2nd feedburner off in a day or two. If you haven’t signed up for the RSS feed yet, then please do so. I would appreciate it and it will make it easy for you to know when I have posted something new.

This morning we have the grocery guy scheduled to deliver our groceries. I don’t know if where you live you have this available, but I do find it extremely convenient and worth the $9.95 delivery charge. I live on the top floor of our building so it is easier to have someone bring everything in one trip. Also, I really don’t like waiting in lines at the store and this avoids all those impulse purchases that I would normally make when I am there.

I need to run down to the storage and pick up a box of comics to sell on EBay. I really just need some motivation to get it done. Something like the enthusiasm I have for blogging. I think the hardest part for me selling on EBay is putting the comic sets together and taking pictures of the items. After that the follow up is pretty easy for me.

I didn’t pay for the PPV for Manny Pacquiao vs Marco Antonio Barrera. I did read the results. It is always sad to see a fighter retire after you have watched him over an extended period of time. I think Barrera is one of the greats in that weight class. I will catch the repeat later next weekend when they show the preview for free.

I watched a few movies this weekend. I saw the comedy Knocked Up with Katherine Heigl. The movie was somewhat funny and definitely got me to laugh a few times. I think my expectations were higher because it got so many good reviews. I also watched a Halloween movie called BloodRayne 2 about vampires in the old west. That movie was bad. Very slow moving and the camera work was shaky making me a little dizzy. Anyways, I thought the first part was decent and this sequel just sucked. Another Halloween movie I saw was Mimic 3. Just your average scary movie. The first 1 had some big celebrity names. I never saw the 2nd part. And this 3 part I recorded on cable. I must say it wasn’t that bad and worth watching once especially if you have no expectations. I saw Fantastic Four: rise of the Silver Surfer. This is based on the comic book and was actually better than the first movie. I liked it but remember I grew up reading comic books. The only disappointing thing about the movie if you read the comic is that they never showed Galactus. I think that would have added so much more to the movie storyline. The last movie I watched last night was called Drop Dead Sexy on showtime. This movie had Jason Lee from the TV show My Name is Earl. It was kind of a dark comedy but unfortunately not really that funny. I would have to say skip this one and make a blog post instead.

I love that idea of having my groceries delivered. $9.95 is a small price to pay to have all that convenience. I am not sure if we have that service available in our area yet. But sure will check it out.

Got any GI Joe comics to sell? My husband collects them.

That is a small price to pay. We have 2 grocery stores that offer the service here. One is Albertsons and the other is Vons.

Groceries delivered? I didn’t know this exists! I thought it was only in movies like The Pelican Brief. I have to admit I live in the south, so it’s not a problem for me access wise. I do like the exercise.

“Knocked Up” was good wasn’t it? It actually turned out to be a lot better than I thought it would be as I was expecting the usual gag of cliched jokes and gross out humour that movies like this seem to thrive on.

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who found Knocked Up amusing, at least in parts. I was derided for my fancy for corny jokes.

My gf said the fight was disappointing because it went the distance and there were no knockouts.

I still wish sometimes that I had kept my comics under lock and key. Instead my brother took the pleasure in enjoying them in the bathroom and my millionaire fortune disappeared down the toilet bowl.

Boxing knockouts make fights more exciting but sometimes the technical fighting is enjoyable too.
I think that movie Knocked Up pretty good but again it had lots of good reviews so my expectations were higher.
Sorry bout the comics. But it is never too late, you can buy some cheap ones now and give it to your kids one day.
