Dexter is probably my favorite TV show right now. It’s a dark TV show about a serial killer who kills serial killers or murderers. This is the second season and I am pleasantly surprised that the excitement of the show has not faded. Another Showtime TV show I watch is Californication with Dave Duchovny. Both are high on my DVR queue.
Not all my TV shows have faired well once they got past their first season . Alias with Jennifer Garner was really a great show that first season. When season 2 came around, it started to suck with inconsistent story lines. I am surprised it lasted for 5 season before it got canceled. Well, I see some of my former favorite shows going that same route.
I liked Grey’s Anatomy when it first came out. Season 2 was actually pretty good. Now, this season they have a spinoff show with one of the characters and the writing of the show is just corny. Boston Legal with James Spader and William Shatner was great a few seasons ago. I started watching it from the beginning because the characters were quirky but intelligent. After a few seasons, and a consistent rotation of supporting characters, it seems to be trending downward as far as the quality of writing goes. It is strange to me that all my favorite shows are not able to maintain the same quality every season. Are the Simpsons cartoons the only show that can maintain creativity and decent writing to keep me entertained?
My current 2 reality shows are definitely still fun to watch. Dancing with the Stars seems to be more competitive among the celebrities this time around. At first I thought Sabrina the cheetah girl would win because of her fan base, but now I am not so sure. On the Bachelor, 3 more girls were eliminated. I think I will have to re-adjust my final 3 picks to be Jenny, DeAnna, and Hilary. I am now leaning for Jenny to be the one to get the final rose. They seem to have the best connection. So far on the show, the Bachelor has only kissed two girls. I also get the feeling that this time the Bachelor will actually marry who he picks.
Enough about TV. I finally broke 100 on my technorati authority. The feedstats seem to be working properly now which sits at 27. My traffic is back to normal to about 150-300 daily visitors. The stumbleupon effect has worn off. I think I did pick up a few regular readers from there, which is very cool. Thank you for coming back.
The stock market is still shooting up to newer highs. Seems to be similar to our housing market where it is getting a little frothy and buyers are jumping in into the money pool. Of course, our housing market is falling. Will the stock market follow pursuit? Only time will tell.
