Technorati, mma, and movies

My technorati is up to 116, my feedstats are at 33 and my cluster maps stats say I have had over 33,000 visitors since August. My biggest day was about 4800 visits in one day due to stumbleupon. On average I get about 100-150 visitors now. I still visit MyblogLog to check out new blogs. That is still a nice place to meet other bloggers. For the most part, I am very happy with my blog. I think of it more as a journal than anything else. It is pretty awesome that it is in a public forum and I am able to receive feedback. Just like hearing an old song can take you back to a specific time in your life, I think that certain blog posts I have made help me to remember what I was thinking on a specific day. I have posted daily because I have had a passion to do so. I think because there are no expectations of performance on this blog, that makes it fun and easy to do. Originally, my purpose for this blog was a personal one. It was a creative outlet for me and a way to give of myself in a community way. As always, I just wanted to express my gratitude and say thank you for visiting and supporting me.

There is an mma event today, but now that Randy Couture has left, the UFC seems to be a little empty to me. There are still great fighters in their production, but my attitude towards the organization have changed. The UFC didn’t take care of the fighters making money for them. Such a shame. I guess that is a common work theme that has been going on forever. How many times have you given your employer notice to resign because they weren’t giving you merit increases for your performance, but only offer you money when they realize they are losing you. In Couture’s situation, he had won the heavyweight belt and defended it successfully and was making about $250,000 a fight plus bonuses. He has fought in the UFC since UFC 31 (it is now at UFC 77) but they offered a fighter from outside their organization over a million dollars a fight even though he hasn’t fought in UFC. I think Couture made the right decision based on his feelings of being disrespected and lied to. I hope he is able to have his last fight against Fedor in another venue, and I hope that place takes care of its fighters.

I watched that movie Transformers today directed by Michael Bay. This is another movie based on a comic book just like Spider-man, X-men, 300, etc. The effects were quite good, storyline complete but predictable, and overall a good popcorn movie. I would recommend seeing it. I saw another movie but it was an English one called Driving Lessons. The movie was just OK but enjoyable. I really like those British accents when they speak English. I think I like the Australian accent even more. I wonder when British and Australians hear Americans speak English, I wonder it they like our accents?

Recently, I switched from Netflix to Blockbuster because service seemed to be better there. So far I am very happy with them. They seem to receive and send out movies faster. Right now, I feel like watching a scary movie because Halloween is around the corner. Good thing I have a scary movie ready to watch. I will post about it later.

Congrats on the traffic stats, Chessnoid! I have to pick up some tips from you!

I didn’t like Transformers that much – the movie was great visually and action-wise, but the story and plot was very disappointing. I was a Transformers junkie in the past, right from its Japanese roots, unfortunately it’s a popcorn for the masses flick so guess I shouldn’t have been expecting too much on the character development front.

Wow…what a nice stat…me? Still far from achieving what u got…anyway, I like Transformer as a cartoon but the movie just an OK from me…but I like how they portray the way the bots transform…other than that, it is just a normal movie that kids see…keep up the blogging…btw, we used the same plugin here..commentluv and I also love it…
