My DVR is great and I get to enjoy my cable shows again. I am all caught up with my 2 favorite shows Dexter and Californication. I forgot the cable company offers a service called video on demand for my premium channels for free, so my wife and I watched some Halloween movies. The first one we watched was called Urban Legends: Bloody Mary. It wasn’t very good but it puts you in the Halloween spirit. We usually don’t get kids trick or treating at our place because it is a closed community and not really too many families with kids live here. Last year, we had no knocks on our door asking for candy.
We watched 2 other movies recently released called Spiderman 3 and 1408. Both were actually a disappointment. Spiderman 3 had good effects and introduced a bunch of characters, but overall the story was just poor. I enjoyed the previous 2 Spiderman movies and this one just didn’t make the grade. 1408 was really a horror movie that had a lot of potential but just didn’t hit it. I think if they edited it better it could be a decent movie. It just seemed to get too long at the end for me because the storyline goes in a loop.
There are a couple of more horror movies we will be watching later tonight on cable. We flagged to 2 more horror movies and they should be pretty fun to watch.
The stock market closed sharply today upon the announcement of another fed rate cut.
