Dancing with the Stars, Bachelor reunion, + stock market update 11-12-07

I hate to say it but ever since Sabrina got the boot from dancing with the stars, I have lost much of my interest in watching the show. I just think there was some funny business in the way she lost. Knowing that one of the best stars is not going to dance in the final three makes it seem hollow. I wasn’t even rooting for her but now the excitement of watching for me has fizzled. Mel B has stepped it up and Helio has just become mediocre. Marie Osmond may be the fan favorite since her fainting spell. Cameron is just a step below these four stars in my opinion, but has had a good fan base to keep him on.

Tonight the Bachelor girls tell all reunion show is on. Usually, it is fun to see the old clips at how these girls reacted. You don’t really get any insight as to who the bachelor picks. For now, I am sticking with my pick for Bachelor Brad final rose recipient as DeAnna. Only 1 more week till we figure out who he has chosen. I have noticed a surge of traffic coming from search engines from other Bachelor fans trying to find out on the web who is chosen.

The stock market had done what I expected to which was open up and stay up for most of the day. I was surprised that it didn’t stay up for the day. The tech sector took the biggest hit next to the banking sector. The stock market has become a soap opera as the story unfolds. The final numbers were:

Hi! Thought I’d keep you up to date with news from downunder. The Aussie dollar has been in the mid 90’s of late. Interest rates have risen and the cost to holiday makers coming to Australia has increased so much, that it’s cheaper to visit other places. It’s even cheaper for Aussies to travel overseas than see their own country which is a great pity.

As for my favourite show, Australian Idol, even though it’s a popularity contest, the final two that are going into the Opera House Grand Final deserve to be there. I’ve seen dancing with the stars and find their judges very much like ours down here. They must come out of the same mould. Regards Peter and thank you for your assistance. Much appreciated.

Always great to hear from you. It does seem crazy to be able to vacation cheaper abroad then at home because of the currency fluctuation.
I think it is neat we watch the same shows with our own country’s version. Do you have any Bachelor shows there, where 25 women compete to marry 1 guy?

Yes we do. It’s on the same line as your show I believe. But the latest one is called, “Find a Farmer a Wife”. He gets to pick from a number of hopefuls. If everything goes according to plan they may end up married. Good luck to them!
