It rained yesterday all day long. I must admit that I could enjoy that everyday of the year. Lucky for me, both my wife and I love this weather. On top of the rain, the temperature was only in the low 50 degrees. Definitely holiday weather. As I write this post, I am wearing a brand new black thermal lined hoody jacket my wife bought me from J Crew. Christmas came early for me.
I decided to put up a google search bar on my widgets and replaced the spider and penguins that used to hang out there. Hope that is useful and convenient for my regular visitors. On top of that, I have moved forward and signed up for PPP. I will wait to see if I get approved. The opportunity to make money while blogging without having to worry about people clicking on ads on my site is attractive. Also, I don’t have to worry about placing ads all over my site which seems cool to me. As of right now, I have Google adsense and Amazon affiliates accounts, but haven’t really used them because I didn’t like the way it looked on my site.
On the 4th of this month I will have been blogging for 5 months straight. It has been an amazing journey writing about all the things that interest me and very enjoyable sharing those things with you. The interaction with the reader is what makes the blogging for me fun. I never actually expected too many people to read it in the first place. My original intention of my blog was to share my gratitude with others in the blogging community and keep an online journal for myself.
Even though I wasn’t blogging to make money, I have probably visited over 1,000 other blogs about how to do it and have speedread through a million posts. The most important thing I have learned is generating traffic which many of the articles cover. At times I would be inspired to use this medium as a way to make money, but then I would recognize I wasn’t ready to make the commitment to commercialize my personal creative outlet.
Thank you for visiting my blog and supporting me in my creative endeavors. Cheers!
