Deck the Halls, weekend storm, + stock market update 12-5-07

Posted on Dec 5, 2007 by CHESSNOID in Uncategorized | 0 Comments

I just finished watching Deck the Halls movie with Matthew Broderick and Danny Devito. It was definitely corny, but I like watching these types of movies during the holiday season.

We have some heavy storms coming this weekend. Nothing like the ones in Oregon and Washington, but they will be big for Southern California. That’s what the weathermen are predicting. Hopefully, there won’t be too many mudslides in our burned areas. The waves at the beach are monster waves of up to 15 feet. They look pretty awesome and all the surfers are pretty euphoric about it.

The stock market had a great day today. There is a new plan for the mortgage rate freeze for 5 years. After I read the exclusions, it doesn’t seem to be helping as many borrowers as possible. Growth in the economy still looks good per the economic reports, but all the layoffs that are being announced everyday seem to contradict them.

DOW 13,444.96 +196.23
NASDAQ 2,666.36 +46.53
S&P 500 1,485.01 +22.22
