The Apple I-Mac is no longer perfect only after 1 day from bringing it home from the tech center for repair. My wife had issues with it again just trying to install software from the original discs it came with. She tested the hardware and it said everything was OK. Then she used the built in extended test and got a “4mem 0×3d85ca10″ error under the hardware test. Judging by the first few letters of the error I would have to guess it is the ram. I read the forums and that is what it seems to be pointing to. I called Apple support and the tech rep wasn’t very helpful. You could tell it was someone from another country just reading a manual over the phone. Put me on hold and after 30 minutes recommended that I just bring it to the Apple store. I asked if she could tell me what the actual error message meant, but she claimed the system is too slow and that she was still looking for it. I just ended the call right there. After 30 minutes of no answers, I thought why bother since I will have to bring it back to the store regardless.

I watched 2 movies yesterday: Skinwalkers and Superbad.   Skinwalkers was a disappointment for me. I thought it was a vampire movie but it was actually a werewolves movie. It wouldn’t have mattered because the plot was weak and so was the character development. Superbad was actually entertaining and I got a few laughs out of it. It is a high school movie about a couple of nerds in their senior year trying to get liquor and get laid before they go to college. Looks like the director used the same people from the Knocked Up movie.

It rained  pretty heavy yesterday with a lot of wind.  Real storm weather for California.  It cleared up this morning but a second storm moved in this afternoon and we had some more rain.  I haven’t watched the news yet, so I don’t know if that affected the local burned areas of mudslides. Hopefully, it missed those areas because those people need a break from the fire and rain storms.

Tonight, Floyd Mayweather Jr is fighting Ricky Hatton.  I won’t be getting the fight because I don’t really like PBF.  I think PBF will win because he is a great boxer, but I am rooting for Hatton.  I hope Hatton can get a lucky punch in there and knock him out.  Maybe PBF will seeing stars instead of dancing with them.
