I went to my local electronics store and they had the asus eee sub notebook in stock for $399. I checked it out and was amazed at how cool it looked. I did enjoy it. That is the first time I have tried that linux o/s. It seemed very intuitive and simple to use. It was small and weighed less than 2 pounds. For me, I think it would be too small to work off effectively as a replacement for my current 17 inch laptop. However, I would love to have it just to take with me when I travel.
I was surprised that there were hardly any people at the store. Even if the economy is slow, you just kind of expect the stores still to be packed with window shoppers during this time of the year. You know what I mean? Based on my experience today, I expect some excellent deals after the holidays.
I recently upgraded my cable to get HDNET for just $5 more a month. I will cancel my showtime after the Dexter finale. I pay an extra $15 for those channels. I went ahead and took HBO on for an extra $5 more a month too. That special price is good for 6 months. Hopefully at that time the 3rd season of Dexter will be back and Showtime will have some cool promotion. They have many MMA shows I never heard of on HDNET. I also read that Mark Cuban’s HDNET channels will be showing the M-1 Global show that will feature Fedor Emelianenko in his first fight since Pride FC was shut down by UFC.
The stock market was down most of the day, bust staged a good comeback to finish in the positive today.
