I would have liked Doakes to live, but I see how that would really not be possible with him knowing what he did about Dexter. Even with no cliff hangers, I am excited for the 3rd season. If they had continued with some of those story lines (like Lila) I think it would have gotten stale. Plus, how many more close calls could Dex get out of without some really unbelievable events happening? Ok, so the GPS thing was a little easy and yes, Lila killing Doakes while simultaneously exploding the cabin was a little too convenient, but like I said, starting season 3 with a clean slate is probably better! They should have made the season finale more exciting. I think doakes should of somehow lived. One more thing, they should have left a couple more cliff hangers, giving people more reason to watch the next season.
