Is Barack Obama our “24″ President David Palmer?

Posted on Apr 11, 2008 by CHESSNOID in Uncategorized | 2 Comments

My wife and I were talking about a show called 24 that when we first saw it on DVD and had to watch all the episodes back to back. Jack Bauer was amazing in what he could do in 24 hours. One man could save the President from assassination attempts, foil terrorist attacks, and basically anything needed to save our country. I only watched the first 2 seasons and then quit watching it because the show lost its edge for me.

Anyways, I remember President Palmer was a cool cat with a deep voice and thought this guy could be a viable president in real life. Of course, his insurance commercials killed that notion. Lol. What always irritated me was his wife and relatives. She seemed to be a bad guy on the good guy’s side. Making trouble here and there. Palmer’s wife’s character reminded me of Condoleeza Rice who I think is very incompetent.

Now, I haven’t seen Barack Obama’s wife recently in the news with the exception of when she made silly comments about she is just now proud to be an American. If you ever get to catch the old reruns of 24 with Kiefer Sutherland, then you will see what I mean.

I will support any candidate that withdraws our troops and ends the war.

    Amen to that!

I felt the same way, but kept reminding myself…Pres. Palmer is a fictional character. Then one day, one of my kids made the same comparison between 24’s character and Senator Obama and that’s when I realized, I wasn’t the only one thinking this. Now I read your post, pretty funny! :)

Let’s hope that we don’t have a repeat performance of the last election. I have lost trust in the system. Can you blame me?

Whoever Obama resembles, if he becomes the next US President, the sooner he pulls the troops out the better. They should really take care of their own country first and stop trying to pretend policing the rest of the world for oil money.
