I haven’t watched the latest NBA finals but I do read up on it in the news because the Lakers are in it.  I fell out of love with basketball and the Lakers when Shaq left. I remember watching the Lakers when it was still magical with Magic, Worthy, Kareem, Scott, and Cooper.  That is my favorite Lakers team. I hated when the Lakers lost to the Celtics when I was a kid.

Tonight, I saw part of the game. I actually caught the first quarter when the Lakers will demolishing the Celtics and up by 20 points.  In my mind, it was in the bag. They were on their way to evening up the series 2-2.  When I came back home my wife told me they almost caught up. I watched the 4th quarter in disbelief.  This reminded me of the time when the Lakers made an amazing comeback in one of the key playoff games in the 4th quarter a few years back when it was Shaq and Kobe.  I bet the Celtic fans were feeling what I was feeling a few years ago for the team I use to love.

Will the Lakers be able to come back this series? Only time will tell, but they looked pretty demoralized after this game. The Celtics on the other hand are on cloud nine and have amazing momentum on their side. I can see why they are the best team this season.  Regardless of who you were rooting for, you can’t deny that was an exciting game.  This may just be the year for Boston and all its sports teams.  If I were a betting man, I would put my money on the green team.
