I haven’t seen any commercials yet for the final rose ceremony for the Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas show. Usually, it is analyzed and picked apart by the Fans of Reality TV forums. They do an excellent job. On the previous Bachelor show with Matt Grant and Shayne Lamas, someone was able to spot the jewelry box in his pocket. They did the whole cut and paste thing and circled it. Another fan was able to analyze the direction of his eye contact to the final rose holder’s eye level and deduce that it was Shayne. In the past, I was able to predict from those little clips based on the lights and shadows of the time of day. I could tell who was coming out first and second.
Could it be that ABC wants to keep the mystery all the way to the final episode. It seems to be building a stronger sense of a surprise at the end. Hopefully, it is a pleasant surprise. Not a surprise where DeAnna picks nobody. How ironic would that be. She picks no one and says now she knows how Bachelor Brad felt and understands why he did it. What a show killer that would be. One thing fans want is an ending where someone is chosen. They don’t want it to just end like a bad breakup where one person gives no reason and says “it’s not you, it’s me excuse”.

I don’t think we should also expect DeAnna to put herself in a position where she is pressured to pick someone just for the sake of satisfying audiences and TV. The producers could always force her into doing so based, but it would put her in a bad light in public later if she tries to dissolve it. Not a nice position to be in, and certainly one I would not wish for anyone. But then again, the money is always good.
I, personally, wouldn’t hold it against her if she, out of respect for the remaining bachelors, decided not to choose either if she didn’t feel that they were the right one for her. But that’s because I saw her biggest connection was to Graham.
Now that he’s no longer there, I feel a little unenthusiastic about the remainder of the show. The 3 guys left are all great – but I saw no spark, no chemistry (unless I was fooled by editing).
However, if one of the other remaining guys was my favorite, I think I’d be disappointed if she didn’t choose my guy, or any guy. Bachelor/Bachelorette forums will be lit on fire all across the world wide web, and as you say, will turn more people off from watching the show ever again.
Regardless, I hope she makes a decision that’s best for her – even if we have to see Brad rearing his fugly butt head back one more time to say “See, I told you so!”
Don’t go to tv.spreadit.org or it will tell you the winner!!! Stupid…..
I think everyone pretty much knew it would be Shayne. She was infatuated with “winning” and he was infatuated with “stardom,” which both spell “who cares.”
