I just finished watching the William sisters play each other in the finals.  It was actually an amazing game. I really thought by the way Serena started out she was going to beat Venus easily.  Both were playing a very high level of tennis and neither really let up.  I was actually rooting for Venus since she lost twice to Serena and was 0-2 at this venue against her.  Even though they are both the top players in women tennis, Venus was the underdog to me.  After the tourney ended, they interviewed her and she seemed very humble and pretty funny too.

Tomorrow will be an excellent match against the top 2 men singles players Roger Federer vs Rafael Nadal.  I like them both but will be rooting for Federer.  I think Nadal has won in their last two meetings and Federer has struggled this year.

Tonight there will be a UFC with Rampage vs Griffin.  I think Rampage will win by decision but you never know.  Griffin beat Shogun pretty easy and Shogun had previously beaten Rampage in Pride FC.  I still think Rampage will win by decision or ground and pound since Griffin cuts easy.  I don’t see Griffin knocking out Rampage or submitting him.

On HBO they will be having a replay of the Manny Pacquiao vs David Diaz.  Pacquiao is always a great entertaining fighter to watch.  I have a feeling he will be fighting Ricky Hatton next for his biggest payday.  Hatton already has called him out and said he would like to fight Pacquiao or Delahoya in his last fight before he retires.  I think DLH will be too big and will outbox him.  I think against Pacquiao he definitely has a better chance of winning because Pacquiao’s defense is not tight.  I think Hatton could match up well in punch output against him.  Those two boxers fighting will definitely end in a knockout.  I will be rooting for Pacquiao.  The funny thing about this is a year ago I blogged about this fight being a great fight if the promoters could put it together. Looks like it will be coming true soon. The main disadvantage I see for Manny is that Hatton is naturally a bigger guy and that going up in weight to fight Hatton may affect his conditioning and his punching power.

Great fight between Rampage and Griffin. Both really tough men but Griffin got the key breaks and made the best use of them. Rampage was never really able to do much when his knee got the knock.
