This weekend has been an enjoyable one to watch all the mma shows put on. I was actually impressed with all the Affliction Banned fights. All of them were entertaining and surprisingly there were no upsets. Everyone who was predicted to win did win. I think what made it a treat especially was all the heavyweights on the card. 5 out of 10 top heavyweights were featured. If Fedor’s brother Aleksander was allowed to fight it would have been the top 6 heavyweight fighters in the world.

UFC had a free show this weekend too. It wasn’t a great card to begin with, but I still had to watch it. It was free which is my favorite price.

HDNET will be televising Dream 5 at 2am so I will be asleep and won’t be able to watch that till after work tomorrow. I personally have liked every show they have put on so far. I hear the ratings for that show is not too good in Japan so this show may not be renewed over there. I will enjoy it while it lasts. The lightweight grand prix should be very entertaining. I am rooting for the underdog Caol Uno to win the whole thing. He is a big underdog but has fought some big names in the UFC before.

Next weekend will have more great MMA shows free to watch on CBS, HDNET, and Spike TV. Sweet!
