This fight has been rumored to happen for over a week now. I know the talks fell through but now I hear the talks are back on.  I think most of the boxing community thinks it is a mismatch.  Even though on weigh in day they will be only a pound or two difference, it is when they rehydrate that the Goldenboy will outweigh Pacman.  Many Pacquaio supporters including his trainer think DLH is just too old and will not be able to keep up with Pacquaio’s barrage of punches.  Many DLH supporters think he will be just too big for Pacman.

I am a fan of both but I think Goldenboy will be able to win this megafight if and when it does happen.  DLH has a great chin, longer reach and height advantage, plus an effective jab when he uses it. Pacquiao does throw a lot of punches every single round but I don’t think his power will translate up in that weight class.  I don’t think he will knock out DLH.  I don’t even think he will be able to outpoint him.  With the smaller gloves he wants to use, I think DLH will actually become faster with his punches too since he usually uses the larger gloves.  I know it is only 2 ounces but that will actually favor DLH more than Pacquaio.  I can’t wait for December 6 and I hope they announce it this week and make it official.
