In boxing we have the possibility of the biggest PPV to date when Manny Pacquiao takes on Oscar DeLaHoya on December 6.  I like both fighters, but have to give the edge to DLH because of the size difference.  Even though Pacman throws a ton of punches, I just don’t think they will hurt DLH at that weight size. Manny is jumping another 2 weight classes and recently just moved up.  I choose the Goldenboy by decision.

In MMA, Randy has sold out and decided to go back to the UFC after his smack talking about the organization.  Of course, my feelings are shaped by reading his book.  Now I feel his actions don’t match his words.  He could have a good career in politics after this fight.  I believe he is to fight Brock Lesnar who is still unproven.  In my honest opinion, the underdog Lesnar will pull out a stunning upset.  He is just too big, too strong, and most importantly too fast.  Randy is the seasoned veteran and technically he should be him easy.  I remember when Lesnar smashed Frank Mir before the ref interrupted that fight.  The ref should have stopped the fight as a TKO for Lesnar.

Right now I am watching the US Tennis Open.  I like Federer, Nadal, and Roddick the long shot.  It’s the 4th round, so far Federer seemed to struggle in a 5 setter against an up and coming kid.  I think Federer actually could have lost it and luckily momentum changed for him in that last set.

I enjoyed watching Mardy Fish as well trying to make a go at the US Open. Some great matches that went late into the night and early morning. I think I watched more tennis this year than the last 10 years combined.
