Congress fails the American People

Posted on Sep 28, 2008 by CHESSNOID in Recession, current events, economy, housing market, stock market | 2 Comments

Congress passed the bailout of a minimum $700 BILLION that Bernanke and Paulson presented last week. The 2 same people who led us down this road of a miserable recession they won’t even admit exists, but are willing to run around with their heads chopped off and proclaim Economic Armageddon.    Congress heard what the majority of America wanted which is to shoot down any rescue bill that includes spending TAX dollars on saving private enterprises.   Yet, they ignored the wishes of tens of  millions of people who are already living in the “unofficial” recession.  They all should be fired.

Even with all their experience and education, the majority of them showed cowardice by approving a reckless bill.  A plan that serves Wall Street and not Main Street.  They have decided that the American people should pick up the tab for Wall Streets’  party.

We have two presidential candidates who refused to take a stand for the American people and hide behind soundbites claiming they are for us. Yet, when the time to make a decision came, they were too busy to take a stand.  McCain admits he sucks when it comes to the economy, and Obama sucks even more for hiding behind empty speeches promising change. Neither have a clue in what to do to get this economy back on track.  Spending $700 BILLION of taxpayer’s money to buy WORTHLESS assets is not going to help.

The 3 stooges Bush, Bernanke, and Paulson have failed the American people.  We must now add Congress to the list of cowards who have also betrayed us.
