Did McCain beat Obama in last night’s debate?

Posted on Oct 8, 2008 by CHESSNOID in Current Events, Economy, Politics | 0 Comments

In my last post I thought they came out equal.  At least that was definitely my first reaction after the debate.  Then I read this article this morning and made me think about what I heard last night.  This article

The Presidential debate and body language

talks about their overall demeanor in body language, voice tonality, and confidence.

When I read this I thought about what I saw and realized that McCain really did better than Obama.  The writer of the article thought it was a draw, but when I read her examples I realized McCain did connect with the voter, more so than Obama.

Just for the record, I am a registered Independent. I am not just leaning towards one or the other candidate because of my political affiliation.    We definitely are in a state of economic panic right now, and neither had real answers last night.  However, trying to figure out who has leadership qualities is easier to see.

Forget about the TV analysts, since they seem to think the winner is whoever they support and not based on what they actually heard and saw in the town hall debate.  Read the article if you get a chance and see if you feel differently about the debate and how well each candidate performed.
