Another free MMA event scheduled for tonight. Sweet!  Since MMA has gone mainstream and on other cable channels, UFC has been forced to battle its competitors by offering free shows.  UFC 89 doesn’t have the big names, but I do recognize some of them.  Either way, the price for admission is within my range. FREE.

On my cable network it will be on the Spike channel.  This is the tentative fight card:

I doubt that the UFC really wants to put on free shows since they lose money on it. I guess that is the price of competing against the other free shows HDNET, Showtime, and CBS show. I know UFC just needs to wait them out to go bankrupt, but I hope they all succeed, since the clear winners are the fans. My tivo is set for tonight’s free entertainment. Have a great weekend. Cheers!
