We had a $150 billion stimulus package earlier this year, then a trillion dollar bailout, but the economy still isn’t going in the right direction. Before these plans were passed, the 3 financial stooges Bush, Bernanke, and Paulson promised us these ideas would be the solution. Funny thing is we are worse than where we were before.
They are here to prove history repeats itself. I am not talking about the Great Depression. I am referring to the idea that they want another stimulus package passed immediately. Of course, that will be followed by another 1 or possibly 2 trillion dollar bailout. Why? Just so they can show everyone they are doing something. This is probably the longest 3 months for them in office. Everyday, it seems like more bad news kills the stock market. The housing market is already dead. Seems like half the houses that are selling are foreclosures. They have passed laws to make the foreclosure process longer, but I would guess that foreclosures are actually still outpacing foreclosure sales by a wide margin.
I know Obama looks to win the Presidential election, but there is still a long shot chance that McCain will win. Either way, what will these 2 senators actually do to get this economy going? I have heard them debate and listened to many of their speeches. All the rhetoric that “I know how to fix the economy and we need change” just sound like used car salesman’s lines from these 2 gentleman. They are both spewing out soundbites and nothing more. Both these politician are typical and finger pointers. Ready to blame someone else. We all know it was the 3 stooges who got us here. What the American people want to know is what will they do to get us out of it.
Both Obama and McCain do NOT have what it takes to pull the US economy out of a recession. At least that is what their words indicate: “I will lower taxes, I will create jobs, I will create change, blah, blah, blah.” In the last 4 months both candidates have flip flopped on many promises they have made. Those are actions you can see and believe, and that is why their words are meaningless. When it comes to the economy, I think Ron Paul has the right ideas about getting it on the right track. Hopefully, whoever wins will use this Congressman’s knowledge to get us out of this mess.
Will Obama or McCain get us out of this recession with their economic plans? In a word, “no”.
