Obama landslide or McCain upset

Posted on Oct 31, 2008 by CHESSNOID in Current Events, Politics | 1 Comments

I believe everyone who watches the media believes it will be a landslide for Obama.  With all the polls projecting him to win and all the early vote turnout is suppose to be favorable for the Democrat nominee.  It all seems to be a foregone conclusion.

Now if the headline next Tuesday is McCain upset, he will become the new comeback kid.  He actually was written off the same way by his party during the primaries when his campaign didn’t have 2 nickels to rub.  McCain seems confident that the polls are wrong and that he will win.  You never know. He predicted the same thing during the primaries when he was getting a beating and was left the last man standing.

I do remember last election, I was certain Bush would lose and Kerry would win.  Before that I thought Gore would win.  I was wrong both times.  I am certain Obama will win.  You figure no one is happy with the economy, the wars, and just all the uncertainty. I do see it going possibly both ways for different reasons. All we can do is watch now as they count the votes from now till election day.

I am certain Obama will win too, but like you I remember 2004 and 2000 and an ugly, little man keeps whispering ‘it could happen again, remember 3rd time lucky’ – I think I will spend the 4th in bed without the television etc. Or maybe not!
