Making money in a recession

Posted on Nov 19, 2008 by CHESSNOID in Blogging, Recession, housing market, stock market | 0 Comments

I never thought I would blog about making money. That is what I am trying to do now.  I sold all my stocks last year before the top, so i avoided the 40-50% decline in my portfolio.  I am looking to buy a property now, but I imagine that process will take 6 months or more because both the real estate and stock markets are so volatile.  I don’t think we are near the bottom, but we are headed there.

My business has slowed down just like everyone elses’ business.  So now I have decided to look for other avenues of making money.  I am trying to do something different.  I have a friend in Singapore who has an online business and he makes some decent money.  He told me to read a blog that shows how to make money that got him in the right direction.  This blog I write isn’t one of those types, nor does it make any money. Anyways, I did read that blog that I will later publish the link.

Let me tell you, it is a lot of reading and followed up by more reading.  Anyways, this blogger mentioned another program where you can make money online that seemed to be faster than building sites.  I tried it and it worked. It isn’t a lot of money but I literally made money online the same day!  My first day i made $110 but to me it seemed like a lot of work. I probably spent about 4 hours total doing it, but I hope to become more proficient as I learn it. On top of that, I spent no money at all for the program. Yeah sounds too good to be true.

I will actually post about it more in detail if I continue to get positive results.  I have some other ideas to make money too and I will blog about that when I cross that bridge and get positive results. Cheers!
