Seattle in May, San Francisco in December

Posted on Dec 1, 2008 by CHESSNOID in Recession, gratitude, housing market | 0 Comments

I actually went to Seattle last May and really enjoyed my trip there. I did blog on my new mini laptop, but never got around to publishing the posts.  We stayed at the Hotel Max for a week.  Very nice building with the best beds ever with pillows made of heavenly clouds.  My wife agrees that this had the best pillows and bed ever. If you ever read the reviews, you will find many of the same comments.

Anyways, lately I have been wanting to buy a high rise condo.  We checked out some condos in Seattle in the Cosmopolitan building because they were way high up and had some studios that were reasonably priced.  They have all sold off since, and the new buildings being built around that one made it less desirable for us.

I am still on the prowl for a new high rise condo and have some good possibilities in mind in different cities. I have shared them with my wife, and just need to drive out there and check them out.  We will see if the high rise is in our future.

I know we are and have been in a recession for a year now, but I was able to cash in on my credit card reward points for a trip to San Francisco.  On one card, I was able to get plane tickets and on another credit card I was able to accumulate enough points for a 3 night stay.  I am really looking forward to visiting San Francisco again.

Both my wife and I love the rain and cold weather, so hopefully it is both when we visit.  The last time we went, I actually drove up there and stayed at the Kimpton Monaco hotel.  The nice thing about that hotel is they allowed big dogs, so we took our golden retriever with us.  It was a prize trip I won when I worked for a collection company that now no longer exists.  That company paid for my hotel, my SUV rental for a week and gave me $500 spending money.  Now that’s what I am talking about.

I will post pictures when I get back.
