This Saturday promises to be a great fight between two high level fighters that I like to watch. I think that BJ Penn and Georges St Pierre are 2 of 3 high level fighters that the UFC has. The other great fighter is Anderson Silva. We might even see the winner of this fight call him out. That would probably get record breaking UFC ppv numbers.
My pick for the main event is BJ Penn. Both are great fighters and the favorite is St. Pierre, but I think Penn won the first match and did a great job beating up St. Pierre, although the split decision went St Pierre’s way. Many MMA fans think St Pierre has become a better fighter since then. I agree with that. However, they discount how much better Penn has become. He has dominated the lower weight class but I think Penn is more refocused on his fitness and has experienced the benefits of that in his fights.
Personally I think Penn will out strike and out wrestle St. Pierre and get a TKO or submission.
The rest of the card looks great. I am picking Lyoto Machida over Thiago Alves.

Just saw the fight a few hours ago. GSP prepared well, had a game plan, stuck to it and took BJ out in style. BJ should seriously review where he went wrong and go from there. Well fought GSP.
