ABC has Bachelor Jason dump Melissa on national TV for ratings. very classy.

First of all, Reality Steve was right with his jaw dropping information. I think the first “After the Final Rose” show was manipulated by ABC to get ratings up for its March Sweeeps. I do believe Reality Steve’s conspiracy theory holds water.

ABC set it up for Bachelor Jason to dump Melissa on National TV for rating purposes. Come on, if Jason had any integrity, he would have done that away from the TV cameras. How insincere is was for Chris Harrison to ‘excuse himself to give them privacy’ with all the camera guys standing so ABC can still broadcast it to millions of fans? What’s more laughable is it really did seem CH was repeating himself to emphasize whatever Reality Steve said was not true. That show was obviously scripted.

Reality Steve:

The bottom line is this regarding Jasons character: Regardless of if he had a “change of heart” and “couldn’t take his mind off Molly”, Jason DID NOT have to break up with Melissa on camera and embarrass her like that. Period. End of story. Yes, he’s under contract to ABC to create a story and a show here, but if he puts his foot down and refuses to dump her at the ATFR 1 taping, it could’ve happened. But he didn’t. And that is one of the things I “couldn’t wrap my head around.” He chose to embarrass her instead of breaking up with her off camera. So judge his character based on that.

It wasn’t until about 3 weeks ago that I started hearing rumors about Jason and Molly seeing each other on weekends he wasn’t with Melissa, which then started to make sense. Only problem, once again, is I can’t prove it. In fact, no one can other than Jason, Molly, and those closely involved with the show. And they’ll never admit to it because that makes them guilty. Especially when Jason denies to Melissa tonight he ever had contact with Molly in the two months he and her were engaged. I think he’s lying. C’mon, no guy would break off an engagement with someone in “hoping” that a girl he dumped two months earlier would give him a second chance. He had to be pretty confident Molly would take him back. And the only way that’s possible is if they had contact. C’mon people. Take off the blinders and think outside the box. It’s not that far fetched. This is a TV show. It’s drama. They can do whatever they want with these people once they sign up. Are you really believing these two never spoke in two months? Sure, they’re going to play it off as she’s shocked, she’s got a ton of questions, but she never stopped loving him and is willing to try, but just like the rest of the season, it just seems something is fishy about all this. I asked Megan in our interview point blank, “As a woman, if that were you, and you’d had no contact with the guy for two months, and he just dumped his fiance, would you take him back that quickly?” Megan’s response: “OMG. Are you crazy?”

Bachelor Brad is happy now he will not be the most hated Bachelor. The honors of being Bachelor Sleaze is passed on to Bachelor Jason.

The more BACHELOR I’ve seen, The more phony Jason has seemed to me. Guys that appealing to women rarely love anyone more than THEMSELVES. I sincerely doubt that any ONE woman will ever be (good) enough for him anymore. Whatever hope there was for Jason to become a good husband is GONE!

Anyone, and I mean ANYONE, who needs to be on a show like The Bachelor to find “true love” gets what they get. But in all reality, Melissa is just another in a long line of girls who have been dumped after the final rose ceremony. But in a new twist, ABC televised it this time. Shame on ABC and shame on all of us for needing to watch this train wreck. And shame on ABC and Jason-this time a child is involved. What a self-serving moron Jason must be to allow this to happen on the pretense that he wants to make a happy family for his son.

Well my take on the whole idea stems from something Jason said on one of the other episodes about God not existing or he didn’t believe. If he doesn’t believe in God then the recent episode phased him none. He is a worldly man who has NO morals whatsoever. Hurting someone on national t.v. didn’t bother him especially if someone was paying him for it. A relationship to him is a “feel good” fix. Philosophy being “if it doesn’t work move on”. How shallow. Love is a decision not always a feeling. I’m appauled at ABC for even considering such a stunt for publicity. Like they need more publicity. I could write a book!!!

I was rooting for Molly to begin with, she is prettier… I know that’s shallow but it’s the Bachelor – let’s not pretend there is any depth to this type of mindless entertainment. Anyways, I was never a fan of Melissa but no girl deserved that kind of humiliation. Jason is a jerk for doing that crap on tv.

Jason will fail. Not because of Molly but because of his fake integrity. I think the whole thing was a set up drama. Any man that cries so much over letting someone go, falling on the ground etc is either sick or a good actor. Maybe we are nuts to watch this mess…I am finished.

I agree with you and RS. Previous Bachelors from the show have gone on to date runner-ups when it didn’t work out with their final pick – BUT – it was all done in private. This sounds, smells and looks like a set-up to get ratings at the cost of one person’s feelings.

I find it appalling that Jason would stoop so low and agree to such a thing even if he was “under contract”.

Oh boo-hoo. Grow some balls and stop crying like a baby, vanilla boy.

I think that the show is a bunch of BullS***!!! I think people need to stop watching it. It promotes the wrong things. What is it so wrong with finding TRUE LOVE. Look at Trista and Joe. I think that it is sooo sweet that they are still together. Jason is at fault for this too but the producers are so WRONG. They make me SICK!! I wont watch that show anymore.
