This isn’t official yet, but my friend has predicted that  Fedor will sign on with UFC.  That is more likely now that Affliction has abandoned their MMA business and have gone back strictly to the T-Shirt business.  Funny thing is they only left because UFC banned them as a sponsor from their events.  Dana agreed to allow Affliction to be a sponsor again as long as they stay out of the MMA business.

We did get to see some amazing fights in Afflictions short career in MMA.  We were able to watch Fedor beat UFC’s former top heavyweights Tim Sylvia and Andre Arlovski.  I wonder where those 2 fighters will be fighting now?

There is rumors that both Dana and Fedor have big announcements to make in their respective press conferences.   It seems obvious that some deal has been made.  Prior to these rumors, Dana has indicated that if Fedor came on board he would be automatically given a title fight with Brock Lesnar.  I think that will be the biggest MMA event ever.  Brock has already beat Randy so this would solidify either one of these fighters as the true heavyweight champion in the world.

I think Brock will have more fans cheering for him as an underdog even though he will be huge compared to Fedor.  Hopefully Fedor delivers like he always has in the past.  Now, I hate to say this but just as it is true in boxing it is true in MMA.  Brock can get one lucky punch behind his powerful fists and knock out Fedor.  Anything is possible so don’t write him off too quickly.  He did beat Frank Mir and Randy Couture fairly easy.
