I am having some work done on my new place and it is taking longer than expected.  I thought they would be done in 2 days and my wife said it would probably be a week.  Of course, the contractors proved her right and me wrong. Doh!

Anyways, I took some pictures of how it looks before, during and I am still waiting for final product.  I am very excited and anxious to have our first project to be finished. I will give you some more details when I actually post it in the future with the pictures.

Tonight, they have UFC 102 with Randy Couture vs Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira,  and Thiago Silva vs Keith Jardine as the main fights.  They are all great fighters and it should be entertaining.  My pick is Nogueira and Silva to win. The Couture vs Nogueira match isn’t that exciting to me anymore because Nogueira is old and took that weird flash punch knock out by Frank Mir.  It looked like a fixed fight to me, but you know me.  As for Couture, he lost to a less experienced but stronger Brock Lesnar. I think if Couture was about 5 years younger he could of beat Lesnar easy.  Couture’s age has caught up to him and with his 3rd divorce in the works he might even have a difficult time focusing.   I think the winner of this fight Coutrure vs Nogueira is suppose to fight for the title Brock now holds.  That fight just doesn’t seem exciting anymore.  As far as the Silva vs Jardine fight, I would be surprised to see it go the distance.  In the past Jardine has got some lucky knock out punches, but Silva seems to have a solid chin.I have watched a few movies but have been pretty lucky.  They were good movies and I will hopefully get a chance to blog about them on my other blog.  I will recommend watching the new Tyson documentary.  It was well done and makes Mike Tyson more human and allows you to better understand him.  You still won’t like him after but you will have better insight in this former great Heavyweight champion.

Another movie that was good was Fighting.  I didn’t know the star of this movie, but Cung Le makes an appearance as a fighter.  I don’t think he speaks at all in his role and just fights.

There was an animated movie that was just fun to watch and more than I expected. There was nothing exceptional about the film, but Kung Fu Panda with Jack Black was a great cartoon.  It was all predictable but I just enjoyed it.

I have reduced my TV watching time to just a few hours a week.  The shows I am watching are HBO’s True Blood which is about vampires.  The finale is this Sunday, and if you haven’t seen it, you can watch the first season on DVD.  It is a bit slow to get into it, but if you watch all the shows from season 1 in a row it will be much easier to enjoy the series.  The other TV show I watch is Bravo’s Top Chef.  I always love to see the foods they create and wish I could personally sample them.
