Labor Day weekend US Open

One of the things I look forward to on Labor Day weekend is the US Tennis Open. I started watching this event beginning Monday and so far all my favorite players have advanced on both the men and ladies side. Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Venus and Serena Williams all made it to the 4th round. Hopefully, all four make it to the finals.

There is a young 17 year old that is doing well. Melanie Oudin has beat 2 seeded players (Elena Dementieva and Maria Sharapova)who have actually won different tennis grand slam or open championships. Anyways, she is another player to root for.

On a side note, have you ever thought Andy Roddick kind of looks like that actor who plays Stiffler from American Pie and Dude, Where’s My Car movies.
