UFC’s Vitor Belfort vs Anderson Silva

In the last UFC, we saw one of my sentimental favorites Vitor Belfort knockout Rich Franklin in quick fashion. There are talks about Belfort fighting the champion Anderson Silva. I would like Vitor to win but I am not sure if he is on the level of Silva.

In the past, Belfort was an incredible heavyweight who looked like he was on steriods and seemed to be raging everytime he fought. The fights were spectacular and would end up with fast knockouts. Now, Belfort looks smaller and not as cut up as before, but is still fast and explosive. I even think his overall fighting skills have improved a lot since he started.

Anderson Silva in Pride was always good, but being in the UFC he has gained extreme confidence and seems to be unbeatable at this weight class. I haven’t seen anyone really threaten him in either striking or the ground game. This fight if it does happen will be a test more for Belfort than for Silva.

Silva’s last 11 fights have been impressive and with quality fighters. Sherdog:
