Help to save your home in this recession.

Many economists and financial experts believe the recession is over and the economy is getting better.  They use reports that show some improvement from previous quarters and take the stock market gains from the March lows as a true indicator that things are getting better.

I really would like to believe that, but I know it is not true.  The economic downturn started because of the housing bubble bust.  As the dominoes started to fall back then, these same experts were saying the economy was too strong and the stock markets were at all time highs that meant a recession was basically impossible and that house prices would never fall by 40-60%.

Today, we know they were wrong because we still have rising record foreclosures and rising unemployment rates.  Even though both the Bush and Obama administration have issued wasteful bailout and stimulus packages, they have not dealt with the issues that caused the recession.  Until they do that,  the downward trend our economy is in will not change course.

The media can spin all the bad news as positive as they want.  They can insist that everyone is better off than before, but the fact is there are literally 25-30 million people unemployed and there are more than 7-8 millions homes expected to be foreclosed on.  The numbers don’t lie.

There are solution that won’t cost the taxpayer money.  There doesn’t need to be bailouts or stimulus packages.  There is a non profit organization called NACA that have helped thousands of homeowners save their homes by restructuring their mortgages with the cooperation of the banks and lenders.  The Obama administration needs to implement real solutions like this organization on a national scale.

NACA’s Save the Dream Tour Tops 315,000 Participants in 7 Cities

We’ve been following NACA’s Save the Dream Tour this year. The first three cities were featured in a case study at SES San Jose 2009 during the How to Optimize for Search & Engage the Community session as well as at the Social Media & Video Strategies Forum during the What Works: Best Practices / Case Studies for Online Video session.

Since then, NACA has held Save the Dream events in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Las Vegas — and is currently in the middle of an event at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, which will run through Tuesday, October 20.

NACA’s Save the Dream has been an incredible success with over 315,000 participants at the first seven cities, with many thousands having their mortgage restructured with interest rates permanently reduced to as low as 2%. Although there has been some skepticism about how they can do this, NACA has legally binding agreements with all the major lenders/servicers to achieve
