I am getting emails now with new laptops preloaded with windows 7.  When I bought my previous laptop it came loaded with windows vista and quite frankly I preferred windows xp.

I love getting a new laptop.  They are gadgets that make life easier.  However, since I have purchased a netbook and an Apple Ipod Touch, my outlook has changed.  The netbook was nice in its smaller size, but the speed and convenience I get with the Ipod Touch is the best.

The price for all 3 is not that much of a difference.  Only a hundred or two hundred dollars in difference.  More than likely, I will withhold my next purchase until they come out with laptops with windows 7 sp1 or sp2.

The prices for most brand new  low end laptops and netbooks can be had for $300 nowadays.  Just a few years ago, those would be the Black Friday prices.  So I am curious to see what retailers will be pricing laptops and netbooks with windows 7 in the coming months.  I am sure it will be good if they want to move inventory.  The current economy is on the buying consumers side and will be for quite a while.
