Who called me?

Posted on Oct 23, 2009 by CHESSNOID in Mish Mash, internet | 1 Comments

When I do collection calls I make sure to block the number when I call because most people won’t pick up if they know I am calling.  Now, when I get calls  I take them for necessity.  However, lately I have been getting more telemarketing solicit calls on my cell phone, business phone, and personal phone.

I think we all wonder how do we get on this list.  Don’t bother asking the representative because they are just the front line employee and have nothing to do with programming the automated dialers.  They get your numbers from telemarketing lists that are generated from registration of products and services.   The calls I have been getting are for car warranties, credit card offers, and charity donations.

I am putting the numbers here so you know I  get them too. They call multiple times and most times when you pick up it is dead air.  You can request them to take out your number, but obviously they don’t do it.  These are all the phone calls I get and show up on my caller ID.

619-801-8142

760-204-8483

unknown number

Update 10.24.2009
714-682-8301 called five times today in a 2 hour period 7-9pm.. Credit card solicitation.

Update 10.28.2009

760-204-8487 called two times and  looks like another variation from an earlier number

Update 10.29.2009

818-870-9275 looks like free gas solicitation.  They are looking to set up recurring charges on your existing credit cards. This is what I found on google:

Dave – 2 Jul 2009
The called offering free gas because my credit card account was in good standing, called my credit card company to verify and they said they had nothing to do with this ” free gas ” offer, just one more scam

Be sure to post the number that called you in the comments section and if you know who it was, so others can benefit from your phone calls.
