It’s great to see another free MMA event on TV without having to pay PPV fees to watch it.  I think we probably owe that to the now defunct organizations of IFL,  Elite XC, and Affliction.  Even though they didn’t succeed  in the long term, the pressure they put on UFC and other shows have allowed the fans to benefit with free shows.  I do believe UFC now pays its fighters more because of them as well.

We now have CBS showing Strikeforce for free and NBC preparing to show Bellator Fighting picked up from Fox sports next year, also for free.  This free UFC 105 will be on in two weeks on 11.14.2009 and has a pretty good card.  I recognize or have seen half the fighters before.
