PBS Frontline: Sick Around The World video and Universal Healthcare

This video is not brand new, but I personally just finished watching it.  It highlights 5 better health insurance systems around the world, talks to both the doctors and patients about the pros and cons.  The funny thing is all the systems provide better health care for much less money.

I do support a change in our health care system.  If we want to have a successful universal health care change, the US must identify the true issues in our system before it is able to fix it.  Simply declaring everyone gets health insurance is not enough.  So what are the problems that cause our health care system to fail?

The government has to take out the profit out of the health insurance companies and drug companies.  That is what needs to be done.  The Obama administration as well as the House and the Senate are being financially influenced by health insurance and drug companies’ lobbyists to make decisions that benefit their companies instead of the American people.  That’s it!  That is the problem.  This whole idea to spend trillions of dollars is shocking because I know most of the money will fund the profits of the health insurance and drug companies.

Watch this video and become educated in the truths of health insurance.  This is a PBS documentary unlike the Sicko movie made for a profit.  This is very objective and put together very well.  Both movies arrive at the same conclusion.  The problems lie in our health insurance and drug companies making a PROFIT from sick people.
