I have really enjoyed Dexter again this season.  Next week is the finale and the preview looked quite good.  John Lithgow has portrayed his Trinity killer very well.  I am not sure if this is the last season of Dexter, but if it is then it will end on a high note.

Californication has just been OK this season for me.  The writing doesn’t seem as witty as the first season, and the story line is kind of just dragging on.  Maybe the newness of its quirkiness or novelty has worn off for me.

The last episode of Top Chef was a disappointment for me.  The show is good and the level of chefs seems higher than any previous seasons.  I just didn’t like the way Jennifer got booted off.  I listened to the judge’s comments on the food when they initially ate it and they all seemed to love Jennifer’s dishes, but by the time they got to the judge’s table to make their decision they had all done an about face.  They opted to keep both brothers for the final three along with Kevin.  All of them are great chefs, but it always bothers me when I watch these reality shows and the comments they speak don’t match the decisions they make.

I have learned that these reality shows are done for entertainment purposes and not really looking for the “top chef!” but focuses on who will bring in the ratings.  Just like last season Hosea won undeserving in my opinion.  No, I didn’t taste the food (but I wish I did).  However, you can listen to their comments and make your own opinion based on what they said.  I think the English guest judge Tobey says it best “well, are we judging them on this dish or the whole season” which makes Tom look  like tomfoolery.
