First of all, I guess the rumors were wrong about Kip from the Bachelorette Jillian season being the next bachelor. Instead they went with Jake the Pilot from that same season. There was a clip from ABC’s site (Click here to watch the full video), but it doesn’t allow me to embed the video. Thank goodness for youtube and bachelor fans. You can pretty much find video compilations on any one of them.

Bachelor and Bachelorette updates:
Another Bachelor couple bites the dust.
After five years together, Season 6 Bachelor Byron Velvick and Mary Delgado have split, he confirms to Usmagazine.com.
The couple got engaged on the show’s November 2004 finale. (He proposed to the Cuban-born star in Spanish so her parents — who were watching — could understand what was happening.)
Velvick, 45, and Delgado first showed signs of a trouble the night after they appeared on a Bachelor reunion episode in November 2007 when she was arrested for assaulting her fiance.
According to authorities, she punched Velvick in the mouth and was under the influence of alcohol when she was arrested.Shortly after the incident, Velvick maintained that they were still happily together.
“Just because you met on a reality show, got engaged on this beautiful incredible setting doesn’t mean that we’re Prince Charming or Beautiful Princess,” he had said. “It’s nothing like that. It’s just a real couple going through real things.”
If “The Bachelor” franchise works in favor of love at all, it’s to introduce would-be bachelors and bachelorettes after the cameras stop taping.
Take DeAnna Pappas, for instance. She was dumped by Brad Womack in the ill-fated “Bachelor” season 11 and went on to dump Jason Mesnick in “The Bachelorette” season four. She picked Jesse Csincsak but eventually dumped him and started dating Stephen Stagliano, twin brother of Michael Stagliano, who was dumped by Jillian Harris on the most recent season of “The Bachelorette.”
Meanwhile, Michael Stagliano appears to be dating Holly Durst, who was dumped by Matt Grant in “The Bachelor: London Calling” and then began dating DeAnna’s ex, Jesse.
Such an incestuous world. But I wish them much happiness and zero tabloid drama. I wish for myself more balcony sobbing and line-crossing shockers. That seems to be the best we can hope for while the cameras roll.
