UFC 107 BJ Penn Dominates Diego Sanchez

UFC 107 was actually very entertaining.  BJ Penn was quite awesome and had an excellent fight.  If you are not his fan, then I can see how you might find the fight boring and one sided.

It did go for 5 rounds and Sanchez could never get a break in the fight. Regardless of who you were rooting for, I think you would have to agree they were both in great shape to go for 5 rounds with that much activity.

Lastly, I think it was cool that BJ Penn makes a reference to Pacquiao (which probably irritated Dana  )

MMA Weekly:

Many in attendance at UFC 107 called B.J. Penn’s TKO victory over Diego Sanchez –his fourth lightweight title defense – the best performance in his eight-year career as a mixed martial artist.

But for Penn, it was just another fight. The 31-year-old Hilo, Hawaii, native cited welterweight boxing champion Manny Pacquiao as inspiration for his performance.

“I just like watching Pacquiao, how he throws punches in bunches, and he’s fast,” he said after the fight. “You might get away from the first two or three, but the two or three coming behind that are gonna hit you. I kinda figured that out.”

I also think the quick knock down and submission by Frank Mir was impressive, but I still think Brock will beat him.
